1998 Christavia Mark IV Experimental 4 place. I am told that Christavia planes were designed for missionary work and capable of short, remote field work. Very strong built airframe. My private strip is 1500' of turf and I use about half of it.

Aitframe has 101hr total time and the engine has 60hrs since installed on the plane. Engine is a 165hp EJ25 Subaru fuel injected 4 cyl. It's equipped with a Tec II engine management computer and NSI prop speed reduction unit. I have seen this combo advertised as 205hp. I can't say if thats fact, but the 165hp is Subaru's number. Prop is a CAP 140/Warp drive in-flight adjustable.

Other equipment: Vaccuum system, airtificial horizon, directional gyro, new airspeed indicator, altimeter, new VSI, turn and bank, manifold pressure, fuel pressure, oil pressure, oil temp, coolant temp, amp meter, dual fuel gauges. Two electric fuel pumps, dual 18 gallon wing tanks, new AK 450 ELT, lighted intruments and guages, nav lights and rotating beacon.

Airplane has a fresh (05-2008) condition inspection and had all new tires and tubes installed at that time.

There are no radios but has breakers installed for avionics.

I nicknamed the plane "Shrek" after the first flight. Like the animated character it's big and ugly on the outside but it's as docile as can be. Workmanship is quite good for the most part. Downfalls are mainly the composite work on the cowling and the just OK paint. Fabric work is very good as is the general overall build.

Here are some other numbers:

Empty weight 1514, Gross weight 2150, Cruise 120mph, VSO (indicated) 48, VNE 140, VA 103.

Doubt if you win any prizes at the local fly-ins with this one, but you can can take three of your friends there with you for 10's of thousands less then the front line airplanes cost. From what I can tell so far, fuel burn is under 4 gallons an hour and it uses auto fuel. It's a wonderful fun to fly plane that does not cost much to operate so it's more affordable to fly often. Come and take a look and fly it for yourself. I think your going to like it!
